Digital Marketing Strategist

Banfield Agency is looking for an expert-generalist in the areas of digital marketing and strategy. This is a hands-on, specialized, and tactical role. We need someone who’s got a strong left-brain for analysis and reporting but still has a creative flair for interesting and innovative digital ideas that cut through cluttered online spaces.

You’ll be counted on as a source of great ideas and strategies, as implementer to deliver amazing results, and as analyst to report and interpret results for clients.


  • Advise and influence clients on how to maximize their budget, efficiency and impact while adhering to strategic objectives and principles of digital marketing and development
  • Own the day-to-day management and optimization of search engine marketing (SEM) and digital media campaigns
  • Develop campaign digital media briefs based on client goals, and present those recommendations to the project team and client
  • Perform digital content audits to determine gaps and key needs
  • Manage digital advertising (programmatic), social advertising and search engine marketing campaigns
  • Manage budget allocations and bid parameters to deliver most efficient results
  • Assist in the reconciliation of invoicing and client billing
  • Evaluate the success of media strategies and campaigns


Required Skills

  • Strong understanding of paid, earned, and owned digital strategies
  • Experience with programmatic ad buying (self-serve and managed service), self-serve social ad buying (primarily Youtube, Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram), and managing Google search, display, and other digital campaigns
  • Solid understanding of social media for business and managing paid social campaigns
  • Strong attention to detail in reviewing and trafficking ad material and client deliverables
  • An understanding of how digital strategies contribute to business goals
  • Quantitative and qualitative reporting and analysis

Ideal Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in a related field (digital communications, marketing, advertising, etc)
  • 3-5 years’ experience in an agency or role that allows for diverse experience
  • Solid knowledge of website and social media analytics tools including Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, Twitter/Facebook/Linkedin Analytics, other tools as applicable
  • Knowledge of B2B strategies, search engine marketing, and lead generation
  • Experience with email marketing tools, specifically MailChimp
  • Thirst for knowledge and drive to improve skills and experience
  • Must be detail oriented and able to work in an independent role as part of a highly collaborative team
