Heating & Cooling Incentive campaign
Hydro Ottawa is Ottawa’s local electricity distributor, powering homes, communities and businesses across the National Capital Region. As Agency of Record, Banfield was tasked with promoting the Heating & Cooling Incentive, one of the company’s conservation initiatives that offers rebates to encourage customers to invest in new energy-efficient furnaces and central air-conditioners.
We developed a creative platform that relied on humour and nostalgia to bring attention to the importance of upgrading this equipment often kept out of sight inside buildings. This approach gave us the flexibility to have an evolving presence in market for the full year, building on the visibility of furnace-focused messages during the fall/winter to advertise AC units during the spring/summer. The integrated campaign included a bill insert, a radio spot, newspaper and magazines ads, outdoor billboards, web banners and social media.
