The Challenge

Ottawa’s Youth Services Bureau (YSB) is a multi-service agency supporting the community through various initiatives, including drop-in programs, mental health, housing and employment services. The organization approached Banfield to help launch its new online crisis chat service targeted at youth and parents in the National Capital.

The Results

Following a workshop with local teens, our team developed a creative concept that embraced the codes and attitudes of our young, culturally aware and tech-savvy core audience. Through a series of 75 illustrated everyday scenarios shared on the @RealLifeMatters Instagram account and across social media, we established a sustained positive presence in the lives of young people.

The campaign also featured web banners, posters, collateral, event planning and influencer outreach—all of which combined to create meaningful connections, keep the chat top of mind and drive relevant traffic to the YSB website.
